What is changing?
As of April 20th, 2023, we will be ending our partnership with Attijariwafa Bank. That means that the last payment into your Attijariwafa Bank Dopay bank account will be the 1st of March, and all cards will be terminated on the 20th of April 2023.
We have been working hard to create a new and improved payment system through our new partnership with Arab Banking Corporation Egypt (Bank ABC Egypt). Your employer has been notified of this system, and we look forward to welcoming them and you on this new system.
You will not be able to use your existing dopay card from April 20, 2023 onwards. The card will be closed on April 20, 2023
What does this mean for dopay cardholders?
What this means for you will depend on whether your employer have signed onto our new platform with Bank ABC, or if they are terminating their contract with dopay.
If you aren’t sure which is applicable to you, please reach out to our Call Centre at 16939 for assistance and they will confirm this to you.
What do I need to do?
Please withdraw your account balance before April 20, 2023
How can I withdraw my account balance?
Please withdraw your funds via ATM withdrawal as you normally would before April 20, 2023, or use your card in any POS machine.
What happens if I cannot withdraw my balance before April 20, 2023, 2023?
If your employer is continuing with dopay in the new system and your account is migrated to new cards, you will receive a call from our call centre team requesting for authorisation to migrate automatically any outstanding balance to your new cards 10 business days after card closure. Once the balance is automatically transferred from your old card to the new card you will receive an automatic SMS with your updated balance. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can settle any outstanding balance via cash collection to the dopay office in Greek Campus in Cairo. You will need to provide a valid ID.
If your account is not migrated, there will be an applicable fee of EGP50 upon card closure, and a monthly recurrent fee of EGP10 for any outstanding balances after card closure. We encourage you to withdraw any balances before the card is closed on the 31st of March. Alternatively, from 20 business days after card closure, you can settle any outstanding balance via cheque collection to the dopay office in Greek Campus in Cairo. You will need to provide a valid ID.
Who can I contact for help?
As always, you can reach out to our Call Centre for help on 16939. You can also come to any dopay branch for assistance and support.
